All Norwich City and County buses radiate to and from the centre of Norwich and there are plenty of car parks.
It cannot be disputed that this makes for ease of access to Castle Meadow and St. Stephen's Street.
It is obvious that a NHS Walk in Centre situated near to there would be at the most convenient place in Norwich for people who have no car and therefore walk or arrive by bus.
For people who have accidents including children and the elderly who have a fall, a well-equipped NHS Walk in Health Centre in Central Norwich would be the best facility that they could have and for anyone with a minor illness a central Walk in Centre would be invaluable.
This being undisputable would someone enlighten me why no City or County Councillor or Member of Parliament is fighting for this option in the interests of their local constituents.

You mention the N & N Hospital that was moved from the city centre to Coney that made it difficult for nurses and patients alike to get to the hospital and made it nearly essential to use cars to get there. This was not at all “Green” and it is getting more expensive with the price of petrol going up by leaps and bounds but the N & N Hospital is there now and we have to accept the consequences.
Besides being inconvenient of access it is not at all “Green” to site the Norwich Walk-in-Centre away from the centre of Norwich thus forcing potential patients to use cars when a lot of them would use the bus if they could.
Unfortunately many Norfolk and Norwich people are apathetic and cannot be bothered to put up any argument or facts in support of where they think a Walk in Centre should be sited but will complain when it is decided over their heads. Nobody considers that one day they may be old and that they may not be able to afford to run a car and will therefore have to rely on buses. In one-car families, nobody seems to realise that if the only car is in daily use, or broken down, then they may have to use buses or taxis to get to a Walk-in-Centre but they think that they will always have the use of a car.
Our Labour, Conservative, and Liberal Democrat Councillors and MP’s talk about Green issues to get votes but take no action to promote green issues that would mean fewer cars and less fuel use is essential.
Are you too apathetic to put up any argument as to where the Walk-in-Centre should be sited?
Stanley Copland.
