From 23 June - 31 August the
city will be over-run by a host of baby elephants, as
Norwich plays host to Go Elephants!
This mammoth event will turn the streets,
parks and public spaces of Norwich into an urban savannah
as the herd of baby elephants safari across the city
before being sold at a gala auction in October.
 Go
Elephants is organised by the Forum Trust and Wild in
Art. Each elephant will be decorated by local artists,
celebrities and community groups, creating an outdoor
art gallery showcasing the creativity of Norwich and
the wider East Anglian region.
Go Elephants is all totally free to the
public and most of the elephants will be in outdoor
locations around the city, although some will be indoors
but will still be freely accessible to the public, such
as in a shop window.

More than 50 elephant sculptures will
be on display.
They are made of fibreglass, decorated
with paints and other materials and then finished to
be weatherproof. Each weighs approximately 50 kg and
measures approximately 170cm long, 120cm tall and 75cm
wide.
The trail leads all over the city so when
you are out and about this summer why not see how many
you can track down.

Society with your first £50 already in place!
